As chief of staff for state Rep. Roy Schmidt, Ed Kettle says he’s ready to take on partisan politics.
He probably didn’t realize it at the time, but losing his bid for a seat on the Grand Rapids City Commission in the 2006 election may turn out to be one of the best things that ever happened to him.
